Dragsö Camping shall be a campsite and holiday village where sustainability and long-termism are the watchwords.
Sustainability at Dragsö stands on four pillars. Social, environmental, economic and structural.

Social:
We shall be a company with strong roots in Karlskrona, Blekinge and southern Sweden. We work actively to promote local activities, local suppliers, local culture and other local companies.
We have colleagues in the hospitality industry and we support each other. We are not competitors.
Dragsö follows the minimum applicable collective agreements and our goal is to only employ staff who live in the local area. We always give year-round staff permanent employment and seasonal staff clear employment through collective agreements.
We work systematically and actively with our work environment in accordance with the Swedish Work Environment Authority's rules.
The staff at Dragsö have employee benefits at the campsite as well as a health and wellness allowance.

Environment:
Our vision is that the management of the company, both the staff and the guests have a positive attitude towards active environmental protection. We will constantly improve the environmental and climate work of the business.
We will always at least meet all the requirements set by law. We are passionate about the environment and want to show that an environmentally friendly campsite does not entail a noticeable reduction in comfort or service.
We will save on resources such as water and electricity use but also on the natural resources in our surroundings. Dragsö Camping only uses municipal water and sewage as well as ”green” electricity supplied by the local energy company Affärsverken AB
We will use only harmless chemicals as much as possible. The use of these will be limited to the lowest necessary level.
Waste quantities will be limited to the smallest possible amount. This means a consistent use of reuse, source separation and recyclable resources.
We will primarily choose local suppliers who work in accordance with our environmental policy. Our staff will be trained according to the policy. We follow VISITA's ethical rules in all personnel matters.
The area's natural and cultural values ​​will be preserved to contribute to the local character. The purpose shall be to promote our society and to preserve our cultural values.

Finance:
We strive to be an economically sustainable company that can also withstand times of economic crisis. The scope and pricing of our services, investments and purchased services shall be designed so that the company supports us who operate and work at the facility.

Structural:
Dragsö's immediate proximity to MarinB, bridge connections and possible future sea level rise make the operations on Dragsö vulnerable.

Due to Dragsö Camping's exposed location, our operations shall be conducted in several locations in the event of unrest or environmental changes.

Other:
We have procedures and self-monitoring plans to measure and monitor our objectives. Our environmental policy shall be published. It shall be continuously developed and organized. In addition, we shall communicate our environmental objectives to our guests and help them to realize their efforts to impact the environment as little as possible.
